As a college student, you are ultimately responsible for the choices you make regarding your education. When it comes to advising, you should schedule regular appointments with your advisor and be prepared for the meeting by researching the curriculum and courses offered. It is helpful to work through your schedule in advance of your advisor meeting. You also should ask for help if you need it.
