Montana Technological University’s Department of Business will hold a Grand Opening for its SAP Next-Gen Lab on Friday, October 20, 2023.
The event will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Engineering Hall 102. Montana Tech students are the only ones in the state with access to SAP technology in the classroom. The lab at Montana Tech is the latest of 12 active SAP Next-Gen Labs in the U.S.
SAP is the world’s largest provider of enterprise application software, with 99 out of 100 of the world’s largest companies using SAP systems. SAP customers generate about 87% of global commerce, or $46 trillion.
“Montana Tech business students find solutions to industry problems using the world’s leading cloud-based business software,” Associate Professor of Business Rita Spear said. “Having ‘hands-on’ experience in SAP technology gives Montana Tech students a distinct advantage in the job market.”
Students will demonstrate the lab’s capabilities for guests at 3 p.m. They will use Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and SAP Analytics Cloud to present how the lab will be used to tackle business-related projects.
At 4 p.m., a reception with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will take place in the Copper Lounge.
