Montana Tech Announces 2023 Homecoming Events


Montana Technological University is pleased to announce Homecoming events for 2023. The Orediggers will face Eastern Oregon for the football game on Saturday, September 16.
The week will also include events centered around the university’s 50th Anniversary of Environmental Engineering. The celebration is called “Proud of the Past, Aware of the Present, and Striving for the Future.”
The event kicks off Thursday, September 14 at noon with keynote speaker Dr. David Vaccari, is the current president of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES), a premier professional engineering society in the US. He is also a professor and Head of the Environmental Engineering program at Stevens Institute of Technology.
A presentation of alumni and student accomplishments, and a campus tour will follow. A celebration gala and dinner will be held at Front Street Station.

The Montana Tech Alumni Foundation will be holding a number of events. Beloved Oredigger football coach Bob Green will receive Montana Technological University's highest honor, the Chancellor's Award of Distinction. Coach Green will be honored at a reception Friday night, along with festivities before and during the football game.
The Alumni Foundation will recognize three new Distinguished Alumni in an awards dinner at the Butte Country Club on Friday night. To view a full schedule of alumni events, click here.

• Free Plants for students in the Courtyard @10:00 am-2:00 pm
• Free bowling night @7:00-10:00 pm

Wednesday, September 13th
• Color Run - Location and Time TBD
• Bed Race inspection sheet due by the end of the day to

Thursday, September 14th
• Swing Dance in the Courtyard - All are welcome - @6:30-8:30 pm
Friday, September 15th
• Bed Races - Check-in @ 11:15 am, Race begins @12 pm
Saturday, September 16th
• Game-day - tailgate @11:00 am, kickoff @1:00pm
