Montana Tech Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Receiving Special Citation

Montana Tech will be recognized at the 40th annual American Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony and Fundraiser sponsored by the Mining and Minerals Education Foundation (MMEF) on December 3, 2022 at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa. Each year, the MMEF honors a slate of deserving individuals and companies who have made notable contributions to the advancement of the mining industry. Montana Tech’s Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering will receive a Special Citation Award in recognition of its 100-year anniversary of educating students in the mineral industries. The program has evolved over the years, but it continues to honor its heritage while fulfilling the historical mission of The School of Mines and Engineering. Graduates of the program have a passion for excellence and are recognized among the world’s most versatile engineers.
