Montana Tech Career Services will sponsor the 6th Annual Montana Tech Fall Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, August 23rd and Thursday August 24th , 2017. This will be a great opportunity for local non-profit organizations to network with talented Montana Tech students, community volunteers and one another!
This Two-day OUTDOOR event will be held in conjunction with Montana Tech Club Rush, helping students get connected with activities and volunteer opportunities in our community.
Each Volunteer Fair brings volunteers and organizations together in one convenient place. Volunteerism, an important part of the college experience, teaches students valuable lessons in community engagement and using their education to serve their communities. It also allows students to gain experience while helping community partners to address critical needs. Employers who recruit at Montana Tech look for volunteer experience on resumes.
“This is important for our office to stress to students that volunteering makes a difference in the community where you live,” says Sarah Raymond, Director of Career Services. “Whether this helps a student to develop skills, meet new people or clarify career goals, it is an invaluable experience. This event is simply the right thing to do!”
The Volunteer Fair on August 23rd and August 24th will be held from 11 AM – 1 PM in the Montana Tech Mall Area (Courtyard between SUB and S&E Buildings). This free event for non-profit organizations, community volunteers, students, and campus and community members.
Local organizations can post volunteer jobs through DIGGERecruiting. Contact Career Services at careerservices@mtech.edu or 406.496.4140 with any questions.
