Dr. Karen Marrongelle

Dr. Karen Marrongelle is the Chief Operating Officer of the NSF, overseeing its $8.5B operations. Previously, she led the NSF’s Education and Human Resources Directorate. A former Dean at Portland State University, she has held leadership roles in academia and NSF, focusing on STEM education, research, and policy development.

Dr. Johnny MacLean

Dr. Johnny MacLean currently serves as the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Montana Western. He previously served in the Office of the Provost at Southern Utah University (SUU) along with an Associate Provost (2020-2022), Assistant Provost for Faculty Affairs (2018-20) and as Provost Faculty Fellow (2016-18) at SUU.
