Society of Petroleum Engineers Student Chapter
Through local student chapters and international programs, SPE serves more than 73,000 student members globally, offering many resources and opportunities for students to expand their knowledge and enhance their skills. Student chapters are linked to universities around the world and are supported by local sections. Active student members work closely with their sponsoring SPE Section, faculty advisors, and department heads to host industry-related events. Participation in your local student chapter provides an opportunity to network with peers and local industry professionals, leading to potential career-advancing connections and skills.

As an SPE member, you gain access to technical talks by industry, the annual SPE Symposium, conferences around the world, social events, and many volunteer activities in the community. Being a part of SPE can also open doors to internships and jobs that may not be available otherwise.
For the Montana Tech SPE club to get gold standard, we need a certain percentage of our students to be enrolled in the club. This is crucial for us to stay competitive with other universities across the globe.
SPE is also a great way to interact with other petroleum students and learn what the oil and gas industry is all about.
