Highlands College of Montana Tech will host Trades & Technology Day for high school juniors and seniors on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
Trades and Technology Day allows students to participate in hands-on activities in their field of interest. The Construction Technology and Carpentry Program engages students by having them use hammers and tape measures on a project. The Automotive Technology Program holds a tire-changing competition. Tours of the Radiologic Technology Program’s lab space are given. The Pre-Apprentice Line Program often has students tie knots or ride in the bucket truck.
“Get ready for an exhilarating day packed with exploration and hands-on experiences as we dive into the world of trades and technology,” Director of Community Education and Industry Partnerships Kinsley Rafish-Bennett said. “Whether you’re a curious beginner or looking to enhance your skills, this event is designed to ignite your passion and expand your horizons. Students will have the opportunity to network with industry leaders, who will share their experiences. Students can ask questions, and explore potential career pathways or further learning opportunities.”
