Everything we do at Montana Tech is centered around one idea: Montana True. Because being Montana True is what sets us apart. It’s the basis of who we are. It’s the foundation for our brand, our community, and our way of getting things done.
In 2019-20 following a formal name change and new leadership in an increasingly competitive marketplace, Montana Tech sought to better understand its position and corresponding opportunities for the future. Extensive research was conducted with external and internal audiences and we used that data—as a leading STEM school should—to better define our identity in the most persuasive and authentic way possible.
After developing a brand foundation from the research, we brought it to compelling life in the form of Montana True. By using the academic and quality of life benefits of our location as a platform, we celebrate our rigorous education, culture of hands-on, all-in doing, and commitment to discovery and ingenuity as we strive to make Montana and the world a better place.
