The first year of the program focuses on fundamental aspects of mine operation and prepares students for roles in mine operations and surveying. The second year includes fifteen elective credits that can allow students to focus on specific areas of the mining industry including:  Mine Survey and Engineering Technician, Geological Technicians, Process Technicians, and Environmental Technicians.
