Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Program
Montana Technological University is proud to participate in the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program. WUE is an agreement among 16 western US states and territories that drastically reduces out-of-state tuition costs. WUE students at Montana Tech pay 150% of the in-state rate, saving approximately $50,000 over four years compared to out-of-state tuition!
If you are a resident of one of the following states or territories and meet Montana Tech’s admission standards, you qualify for WUE status: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Guam, or the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
Not from a WUE state? Great news! Many of our majors qualify for the Advantage status which is equal to the WUE in value. Simply apply for admission and we’ll notify you if you are eligible.
