Photo Requirements

Dos:

  • Current color photo
  • Neutral color and smooth background
  • Centered, facing the camera
  • Include top of head down to collarbone 
  • Eyes open and natural facial expression
  • Wear prescription glasses if you normally do

Don'ts:

  • Tilt or side angle your face
  • Shadows on face
  • Crop off the top of your head or zoom in too close
  • Other visible people, pets, or objects
  • Inappropriate expressions
  • Wear sunglasses, hats, or headphones

Email your photo, student ID number, and legal first and last name to diggercard@mtech.edu.

You will receive an email confirmation when your submission is accepted and your DiggerCard is ordered. 

You will receive an email confirmation when your DiggerCard is ready to pick up. Just stop into the DiggerCard Center, present a valid photo ID, and pick up your DiggerCard!

New students should submit a photo for the DiggerCard online prior to arriving on campus and/or visiting the DiggerCard Center. Once you have submitted your photo and received a confirmation email that your photo was approved, your DiggerCard will be ordered. You will also be notified via email when your DiggerCard is available for pickup.

The DiggerCard Center will preprint DiggerCards as photos are approved. There is a $35 DiggerCard Admin. Fee* for all new DiggerCards, and a $25 DiggerCard Admin. Fee* for replacement DiggerCards. You will need to show photo ID to pick up a DiggerCard. Acceptable forms of photo ID include: Federal or State Government issued identification (ex: driver's license), a passport, military ID, or other government issued photo ID.

* Your DiggerCard is required to access campus services associated with mandatory fees; we have automatically assessed the $35 DiggerCard Admin Fee to new students’ accounts for your convenience. If a replacement card is needed, the $25 DiggerCard Admin. Fee is due when the replacement card is picked up in the DiggerCard Center.
