Montana Tech provides students with transformational experiences in learning, research, and personal development through study abroad programs. In addition to our students, we welcome participants from alumni, other colleges/universities, and the local Butte community. When you leave your comfort zone, great things happen!
We are thrilled to support students' and faculty study abroad aspirations, whether that be through faculty creation of their own programs, grants from other institutions, or student club events.
We know that traveling abroad is an invaluable experience for everyone involved, so we're here to support you every step of the way. Please be patient while we try to bring as many programs as we can for students and faculty, as study abroad is a brand new intiative at Montana Tech.

AKA "FLEAPs", these programs are designed and led by faculty and occur for 2 - 4 weeks during summer or winter breaks.
Study, research, conference, and internship options may arise via student clubs, research grants, or exchanges with other institutions.
Partner Programs are approved providers who offer courses, internships, service learning, and research opportunities in over 30 countries.

In the field of ecological restoration, the work done by the Australian scientists, the government and collaborating industrial partners sets a standard of excellence that leads the world.
Researchers and students from Montana Technological University joined partners from Northwestern University, as well as other academic institutions, scholars, industry leaders and policy experts in exploring ways to bolster international supply chains of critical minerals in sustainable and socially-conscious ways at a workshop held in Santiago, Chile on Sept. 9-10 at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Montana Technological University students say they learned about culture, language, semiconductor technology, and international relations during a trip to Minghsin University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Taiwan over winter break.
