Exercise and Health Science Program Educational Objectives (PEO)
The Program Educational Objectives (PEO) of the EHS Department are to produce graduates who:
- Successfully practice in the exercise and heal science profession as demonstrated by
- continued professional employment,
- job promotion,
- expanded career responsibility
- Successfully complete an advanced degree (e.g., MD, PA, OT, PT)
- Continue professional development as demonstrated by
- society membership and participation,
- continued education,
- related volunteerism
Student Outcomes
- Have a general working knowledge of Exercise Science including Exercise Phsiology, Anatomical Kinesiology, Cardiac Electrophysiology and Exercise Prescription.
- Be proficient in using basic human performance assessment equipment and techniques in both laboratory and field settings.
- Be able to apply their knowledge to a variety of problems related to exercise and health science.
- Have effective oral and written communication skills.
- Be able to use scientific literature.
