Report an Academic Misconduct Violation

Academic violations include cheating, plagiarism or falsifying official records related to the University, unauthorized signatures, tampering with course material, etc. (General classroom misbehavior is considered a non-academic violation (see below).) Report a Non-Academic Student Conduct Violation

Non-Academic violations include any behavior that is not related to an allegation of cheating or plagiarism (e.g. alcohol, drugs, threatening behavior, vandalism, disorderly conduct, etc.). If you have questions about whether a behavior is considered a violation, please refer to the student handbook or contact the Dean of Students, Dr. Joe Cooper.

Report a Concerning Behavior

The Montana Tech Oredigger Intervention Team (OIT) receives concerns reported by any faculty, staff or student who is concerned about an individual’s behavior. Concerning behaviors include, but are not limited to: emotional distress, suicide ideation, disordered eating, self-injury, threatening behavior towards others, and suspected substance abuse.  If you have questions about whether a behavior is considered a “concerning behavior”, please contact the Dean of Students, Dr. Joe Cooper at 406-496-4198.

Report Discrimination, Harassment, and/or Retaliation, and/or Title IX Sexual Harassment

Any reports of the Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Policy OR the Title IX Sexual Harassment Policy should be reported using this form. This includes, but is not limited to, sexual assault, harassment, dating and relationship violence, discrimination, stalking, and retaliation. If you have questions about whether an incident is considered a violation of one of these policies, please contact Vanessa Van Dyk, Director of Human Resources and Title IX Coordinator

Report a Unauthorized Animal on Campus

This form should be used to report concerns regarding possible unauthorized animals/dogs on campus or animals/dogs that are out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it, or the animal/dog is not housebroken.

Please do not address the issue yourself. Service animals are not required to wear a vest or any identifying gear or tags. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) protects owners of a Service Animal. Students are protected under ADA Title II (state and local government services) and ADA Title III (public accommodations and commercial facilities. Montana Tech's policy on Service Animals, Assistance Animals and Pets is located on the Student Disability Services web page.
