Public notice of Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) accreditation visit

The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) will conduct an evaluation of institutional effectiveness accreditation visit to Montana Technological University on April 15-17, 2024 as part of a seven-year cycle. Montana Tech has been accredited by the NWCCU since 1932 and was last reaffirmed in 2017. The evaluation team, led by faculty and staff from peer institutions in the NWCCU region, will meet with campus students, faculty, staff, and Board of Regents members to review the institution’s accreditation status in conjunction with the institution’s Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness Report. The last action taken by NWCCU regarding Montana Tech was the acceptance of the Spring 2020 Mid-Cycle Review Evaluation.

Prior to this evaluation visit, members of the public may provide comment on Montana Tech’s qualifications for accreditation. To be considered, all comments must be signed and delivered to NWCCU at least 10 days prior to the visit (April 5, 2024). To submit a third-party comment via mail or courier, please send to:
