The TRIO Upward Bound program at Montana Technological University is inviting incoming 9th- 11th-grade students from Butte and Anaconda to apply for its 2026 Summer Academy, a free six-week college preparation experience designed to help students build confidence, explore future careers, and prepare for college success.
The Summer Academy will run from June 15, 2026 through July 25, 2026 and includes five weeks living on Montana Tech’s campus, where students will participate in engaging classes, leadership activities, college exploration, and campus life experiences. Students will also take part in a free five-day educational trip to New York City to explore colleges and opportunities in the city.
TRIO Upward Bound is a federally funded program that supports students in preparing for higher education through academic enrichment, mentoring, and college readiness experiences.
Space in the Summer Academy is limited, and interested students are encouraged to apply soon.
