Butte Native Wellness Center will celebrate and honor Native American graduates of Montana Tech and local area high schools and K -12 students participating in the Native Youth Educational Attainment (NYEA) program on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Student Union Building, Copper Lounge at Montana Tech. An indigenous themed dinner will be served. Montana Technological University’s American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) chapter will speak at the celebration.

All Native American graduates will be celebrated, and graduates who are enrolled members of a U.S. federally recognized tribe are invited to receive an eagle feather in recognition of their achievements. Butte Native Wellness Center will present this sacred symbol of strength, wisdom, and accomplishment, which can be worn as part of graduation regalia.

K-12 NYEA program participants will be celebrated for their school attendance and leadership on Butte Native Wellness Center’s Youth Committee.

Butte Native Wellness Center is proud to recognize the hard work and resilience of our students. It’s a moment to honor not just academic success but the cultural identity and perseverance that Native students carry with them through their educational journeys.
