Registration opens Monday, March 31 for Montana Technological University’s summer and fall courses

The state’s only special focus university will offer more than 100 sections of classes this summer, and more than 850 in the fall. The first 5-week and full 10-week summer sessions will begin May 27. The first 5-week session will end June 27. The second 5-week summer session will begin June 30 and will end on August 1. The full summer session will end August 1. Fall courses will begin on August 25 and will run through December 12.

Current students

Registration for Summer and Fall 2025 begins for graduating seniors and graduate students on Monday, March 31. Registration for remaining seniors and post-baccalaureate students who have 90+ earned credits will begin April 2. Currently enrolled juniors who have 60-89 earned credits will be able to register April 4. Currently enrolled freshmen and sophomores who have earned between 1-59 credits will be able to register April 7. All currently enrolled students may register with their advisor, via MyMTech, with an ALT pin provided by their advisor, or in the Enrollment Services Office.

Be sure to contact your academic advisor to set up a registration appointment. Your advisor will assist you with registration or provide you with an alternate PIN to allow you to register yourself. 

Incoming freshmen, transfer and readmitted students

Registration will open April 21 for incoming freshmen and transfer students. Incoming freshman and transfer students will be registered by their advisor as part of a new student Registration Rally. Registration Rallies are offered virtually and in-person with various dates for new students to choose from. Students must have proof of two MMR vaccinations on file and must satisfy both math and writing placement requirements to be registered for courses.

In-person registration rallies for new incoming freshmen or transfer students will be held on campus on May 2 and June 13. These events include a complimentary lunch, a welcome from campus leadership, a session on what to expect post-registration, and a meeting between student and advisor. Online registration rallies for new incoming freshmen or transfer students will be held on May 15 and June 26 for students pursuing an associate degree or certificate at Highlands College, and on May 15, June 12, and June 26 for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Montana Technological University. These events will include meetings between student and advisor, information about what to expect next, and time to get your questions answered. All students: schedules, textbooks, and applications for admission

The summer and fall schedules are viewable through MyMTech. Please keep in mind that we are still receiving schedule changes from departments, so courses are subject to change. The steps for viewing the schedule are below.

  1. Sign into MyMTech
  2. Find the OrediggerWeb toolbox called All Classes Offered
  3. Choose Summer Semester 2025-2026 or Fall Semester 2025-2026 from the drop-down menu
  4. Search by subject and course number

Enrollment Services, Academic Advising (for first-year students), Financial Aid, and Business Services are all conveniently located in the Student Success Center.

Montana Tech accepts rolling applications until August 15, though it is advised that students apply early, especially if they need financial aid. To apply for admission, click here
