The Future of Energy panel discussion to feature industry leaders

Montana Technological University is hosting a panel discussion, The Future of Energy, on Friday, September 22, at 2:15 p.m. in the Library Auditorium on campus. 

The panel is open to faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members. 

For over 100 years, Montana Tech graduates have fueled society by extracting and processing natural resources. Today, many governments are mandating reducing fossil fuel use to mitigate climate change. What does this mean for the petroleum industry? To our electric power grid? Technology? What opportunities are there for Montana Tech graduates in the next forty years? Learn from a panel of globally recognized petroleum, electric power, and environmental experts on why Montana Tech is perfectly positioned to lead the world’s energy revolution.

Bob Morris, a Montana Tech alumnus and retired executive at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, will moderate the discussion.

• Ryan Lance, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ConocoPhillips and Montana Tech Petroleum Engineering alumnus

• Skye Callantine, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Validus Energy and Geophysical Engineering alumnus
• Bill Glennon, Engineering Director at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories and Montana Tech Electrical Engineering alumnus
• Robin Bullock, Interim Director of the Center for Environmental Remediation and Assessment at Montana Tech and Associate Professor of Environmental Engineering and Environmental Engineering alumnus
