ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING STUDENTS HAVE PAPER ACCEPTED FOR IEEE PESGM

BUTTE, Mont. -- The 2023 IEEE Power & Energy General Meeting (PESGM) has accepted the research papers of three Montana Tech graduate students for publication and presentation in July in Orlando, Florida.

The works of Tam Nguyen, Ron Hruban, and Rayce McCord were accepted for the highly competitive conference. Funding for the research projects was provide by the U.S. Department of Energy.

Nguyen is the leading author of “Frequency versus Speed Feedback for Transient Stability Control via Energy Storage.”

Hruban is the leading author of “A Framework for Monte Carlo Power-Plant Parameter Estimation.”

McCord is the leading author of “A Test Bed for Conducting Monte Carlo Power Plant Model Validation Experiments.”
