Accelerate Montana and Highlands College of Montana Tech announced today the second in-person Production Assistant Rapid Training course to take place on February 25 and 26 in Butte, Montana. This course will enable Montanans to quickly gain the introductory skills needed to join the state’s fast-growing Film and Media industry.
“Highlands College is looking forward to hosting a second Production Assistant Rapid Training Course. We know more productions are coming to Butte; therefore, locals will have another opportunity to gain employment, support our community, and positively impact the economy,” said Karen VanDaveer, dean of Highlands College.
The course is taught by Lynn-Wood Fields, an award-winning filmmaker, producer, and founder of the Film and Media Training Center. “We are excited to come and teach in Butte again, especially with the success of our last PA course in which 1923 came into our training rooms and hired participants directly from the class,” noted Fields. “As a Montana training course, we want to continue to bridge training and production opportunities in the community, and we are grateful to Highlands College, Career Futures, and the community of Butte for making this a reality.”
Features and benefits of this course include.
? Gain skills and learn the terminology needed to work on a film set
? Assess comprehension & build confidence with short and fun knowledge checks
? PA graduates are entered into a database producers use to hire crew
? Upon course completion, participants will receive a Course Completion Certificate
