Montana Technological University's Upward Bound Program will host their summer research symposium on July 29th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at East Middle School, 2600 Grand. The symposium is the culmination of a rigorous 6-week academy where Upward Bound students, through the Army Outreach Education Program UNITE, are given the unique experience of working directly with college faculty to design and present a research project.

The success of the program can be seen by how many alumni are still directly involved in the programming. This year six alum are working with the students. Ali Bowdish and Tony Hoffman are teaching, Megan Lamach, Seamus Hoolahan, and Destiny Waeckerlin are serving as Resident Advisors, and the program is being head up by Director Adam Maes.
