Montana Tech Announces 2022 Commencement Activities

Montana Tech’s 2022 commencement ceremonies will take place on Saturday, May 7, 2022 indoors in the HPER Complex. The university will hold a ceremony for graduates in the Graduate School and School of Mines beginning at 10:00 am and graduates in the College of Letters, Sciences, & Professional Studies and Highlands Colleges at 1:00 pm. The university will award 302 degrees and certificates to 284 students.

Casey Lozar, chair of the Montana Board of Regents and vice president and director of the Center for Indian Country Development for the Federal Reserve based out of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, will be the university’s commencement speaker. Montana Tech civil engineering student and 2022 spring graduate Braeden Beck from Missoula will be the student speaker at the ceremony.

The Order of the Engineering Ring Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 6 at 5:00 pm in the Auditorium on campus. The ceremony will see 52 individuals participate.

The Sherry Lesar School of Nursing will hold its Nursing Pinning Ceremony in the Library Auditorium at 8:30 am on Saturday. The ceremony is a symbolic welcoming of newly graduated nurses into the nursing profession. At the ceremony, 23 Bachelor of Science (BSN) students and 1 Bachelor of Science Completion (BSN) student will be presented with nursing pins by Montana Tech Nursing Department faculty.
