On Thursday, October 3, 2019, Montana Tech hosted a group of students and teachers from Butte High School and Red Lodge High School as part of Montana Tech’s outreach robotics program, Tech Robotic Rescue Rover (TR^3). One high school faculty mentor and five student team members participated in the introductory meeting put on by Montana Tech faculty and a Tech student support team. Tech students distributed TR^3 kits and components for building a robotic rescue rover as well as providing tutorials on programming and integrating the various parts. Next week, a group from Anaconda High School will come to campus for their introductory meeting.
The project is funded by Newmont Goldcorp.
