Montana Tech is proud to host Montana’s first U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Lab Day. This event will be held October 8-9, 2019, to enable Montanans to learn about and explore opportunities for partnerships with DOE national laboratories. The agenda and networking will acquaint Montana researchers, industry, small-businesses, and students with DOE national laboratory scientists and leaders.
The DOE maintains 17 preeminent national laboratories across the country, each providing distinctive scientific and technological capabilities that are often beyond the scope of academic and industrial institutions. The Labs also operate and maintain major scientific user facilities as shared resources for the scientific community, and they provide extraordinary educational opportunities for students.
Please join us at Montana Tech on Tuesday, October 8 and Wednesday October 9 for an introduction to the national labs and panel discussions on topics, such as bioenergy, water, and advanced materials. Take advantage of this incredible opportunity to meet lab directors and scientists, learn about the facilities and expertise available to support research, technology development, education and discover how to engage with national lab scientists.
Thanks to the support of campuses that have helped coordinate this event (Montana Tech, Montana State University, University of Montana, and MSU-Northern), all National Lab Day events at Montana Tech are FREE and will be held in the Student Union Building (SUB). Preregistration is required. Visit https://www.mtech.edu/research/national-lab-day/ to register and to view the agenda.
