Gold Coin and Plaque to be Donated to Mineral Museum

Rick Jordan, former mill supervisor of the Golden Sunlight Mine (and Montana Tech alumni '90) will donate a gold coin and plaque to the Mineral Museum on the campus of Montana Tech on Thursday, September 26 at 2:00 pm. John Metesh, Director of the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology, will receive the coin and plaque, which will be permanently displayed by the MBMG. The one-half Troy-ounce gold coin is from the Golden Sunlight Mine near Whitehall, Montana. Similar coins were sometimes awarded to mine employees for outstanding safety and attendance achievement.
