Montana Tech will host Fresh Check Day — a concept created by The Jordan Porco Foundation and designed to bring the whole campus community together to "check-in" on the mental health and wellness of college students. The event is free and has been organized by the Montana Tech Student Wellness Task Force collaborating with Montana Tech’s Student Life Department, Nursing Program and the Behavioral Health Technician and Medical Assistant Programs. In addition, student volunteers, SAFE SPACE, Butte Cares, and representatives of The Jordan Porco Foundation have been actively involved.
Montana Tech’s Fresh Check Day will take place on Monday, September 23 from 10 a.m. until 2 pm. The Student Union’s Copper Lounge will be transformed into an expo-like atmosphere to bring together interactive exhibits combined with food, prizes, and giveaways. The booths feature peer-to peer messaging in a positive, community-focused setting. This year's event will include one or two key aspects of event.
