Nitin Kalé will be speaking at Montana Tech on Thursday, February 7th at 4:00 pm in the Copper Lounge of Tech’s Student Union Building. Mr. Kalé will be speaking about his work in SAP, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, database modeling, enterprise information systems, business intelligence and big data analytics. The presentation is free and open to students, faculty, staff and the general public.
The primary focus of Mr. Kalé’s presentation will be SAP in university education. SAP is also known as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software. SAP software is a business process management tool which provides a platform from which companies can handle all their tasks like manufacturing, sales, finance etc. It is capable of performing multiple functions at the same time.
“We are thrilled to have Nitin Kale come to Montana Tech,” said Dr. Tim Kober, Chair of the Business & Information Department. “He is a leader in enterprise resource planning and software, especially with SAP tools, and this is an area of focus and emphasis which we have in our business courses.”
Mr. Kalé is an Associate Professor in the Information Technology Program (ITP) and the Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at the Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California.
