Montana Tech BIT Lecture on Governmental Auditing, Transparency, and Accounting Friday, October 5

The Montana Tech Business & Information Technology Department will host Jessie Curtis, Senior Financial Compliance Auditor, and Jen Erdahl, Financial-Compliance Audit Manager, as part of their First Friday lecture series this Friday, October 5. The presentation is open to the public and will take place in the Natural Resources Building on the Montana Tech campus in Room 123 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. The topic of the lecture will be “Governmental Auditing, Transparency, and Accountability.”
Jessie Curtis is a Senior Financial-Compliance auditor for Legislative Audit Division. She completed her social work degree in 2002 and returned to Carroll College almost 10 years later and graduated with her accounting degree in 2013. She started with the office a few months after graduation, and holds a CPA certification. Jessie is married with a 13-year-old son, 2 dogs, and 2 chickens. She loves Helena and spends her free time enjoying Montana- camping, hiking, running, swimming, and riding around with her husband who owns a tow company.

Jen Erdahl is a Financial-Compliance Audit Manager for the Legislative Audit Division. She has been employed by the Division for 21 years. She graduated from Carroll College in 1997 and immediately started her career with the division following an internship. Jen grew up in the eastern part of the state in Fort Peck and attended high school in Glasgow. She is married and has two kids, 10 and 13, which pretty much occupies any of her free time.
