Montana Tech Associate Professor Receives Wildlife Conservation Award

The Wildlife Society presented their Wildlife Conservation Award to Dr. Stella Capoccia, Montana Tech Biological Sciences associate professor, and Gary Swant, one of Montana’s top birders of GoBirdMontana, for their work on the Migratory Waterfowl Mitigation Plan at the Berkeley Pit.

The award was presented at the Montana Chapter’s annual conference on Thursday, February 22, 2018.

“I was totally blown away by this award,” noted Capoccia. “It is given once a year to the outstanding researcher/conservationist.”
