Additionally, this unique experience allows visitors to tour our carpentry, machining, welding, and automotive labs and learn how students turn their education into a lifetime career.
Highlands College of Montana Tech is a small school that enjoys the setting of being surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, a top rated instructional faculty, and a warm, supportive learning environment. We serve the Greater Southwest Montana Region through our associate degree and certificate programs, continuing education, and customized training. Completion of one of our degree programs is designed to help you enter the workforce immediately (2 year programs), or earn credits that may be transferred to a 4-year degree program. Here you will find a quality education, dedicated faculty and staff, small class sizes, individual attention, student services, and exceptionally affordable tuition.
Our trades programs will help you develop practical job skills through hands-on experience in the lab and in the field while receiving a two-year associate of applied science (AAS) degree. One of our programs prepares students to be cross trained in both machining and welding, earning an AAS in Metals Fabrication and developing into a well-rounded employee for the workforce. Additionally, these programs offer credentialing in ACT National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC), The National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS), and The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). These credentials are embedded into each program and give students the extra edge when entering the job market. Along with our Metals Fabrication degree, we offer AAS degrees in Automotive Technology, Carpentry/Construction Technology, Civil Engineering Technology and Drafting Technology, and certificates in the Pre-Apprentice Line Program and Aerospace Welding Technology.
