Dr. David Gurchiek has been named the Dean of Montana Tech’s Highlands College. Dr. Gurchiek comes to Montana Tech from City College Montana State University in Billings.
Dr. Gurchiek has 20 years of experience at Montana State University Billings serving in positions such as interim associate dean, department chair (nursing, health, public safety), program director, union vice president/campus president, academic senator, and IRB member.
Dr. Gurchiek holds a Ph.D. in Human Services with a focus in Public Safety from Capella University and a M.S. in Health & Wellness from California College for Health Sciences.
“I am thrilled by the opportunity to work with such an outstanding group of students, faculty and staff at Highlands College and honored to be part of Montana Tech,” noted Gurchiek. “I look forward to building on or establishing new community partnerships that will assist the college with meeting the needs of the regional workforce of the 21st century.”
Dr. Gurchiek will begin his role as Dean of Highlands College on July 1, 2017.
