The Montana Tech Rape Prevention Education (RPE) Team is again sponsoring a FRONTSTANDER t-shirt design contest. The winner’s design will be incorporated in the FRONTSTANDER initiative for academic year 2017 - 2018. The design must have the word FRONTSTANDER and the hand logo somewhere on the shirt. The contest runs through March 13. The winner of the contest will receive $100 Digger Dollars. “This will be the fourth year that a FRONTSTANDER T-shirt will be designed for our campus community,” reports Cricket Pietsch, RPE Team Coordinator.
“We look forward to receiving submissions from our campus community for this year’s contest. The winner is chosen after much deliberation and student feedback.” FRONTSTANDER is the word coined by Montana Tech to denote what it means to be an active bystander. A FRONTSTANDER is willing to intervene when witnessing any type of unhealthy behavior, be it sexual misconduct, harassment, bullying, or discrimination, to name a few. Designs can be e-mailed to Cricket Pietsch at cpietsch@mtech.edu or submitted at the Student Life Office in Engineering Hall, the Residence Life Office, or at the front desk of Highlands College.
