The Montana Tech Student Wellness Task Force is again sponsoring the annual fall Wellness Fair. The fair will be held on September 14th, from 10-2, in the Copper Lounge of the Student Union Building. The Wellness Task Force is comprised of staff, faculty, students, and community members. One mission of the task force is to encourage wellness and the establishment of healthy lifestyle choices. The Wellness Fairs which occur on each campus, main campus in the fall and Highlands College in the spring, have become premier events for Montana Tech.
“We always look forward to the fair which brings Montana Tech and its’ surrounding community together. It gets bigger and bigger every year. We enjoy our wellness partners and appreciate the enthusiasm, time and energy they devote to this event,” reports Montana Tech Counselor, Joyce O’Neill.
Sexual health education, alcohol use awareness, tobacco-free initiatives, basic health screens, mini-massages, recreational opportunities, are some of the offerings this fall. “Our students really enjoy the interactive and educational aspects of this event. And of course, there is always the swag!” notes student and Task Force member Kelly Mellott.
