Montana’s STEM Scholarship Program is designed to provide an incentive for Montana high school students to prepare for, enter into, and complete degrees in postsecondary fields related to science, technology, engineering, mathematics and healthcare. The goal of this program is to increase the number of STEM degree recipients participating in Montana’s workforce.
The deadline to apply is July 15, 2015. The award value is $1,000 first year, $2,000 renewable second year.
Qualifications: Applicant must register online at www.mus.edu/scholarships. Applicant must be a high school senior, a resident of Montana, a graduate from a Montana accredited high school with a cumulative 3.25 GPA and complete 4 years of math and 3 years of science while in high school. Applicant is required to apply and be accepted by one of the eligible campus and be seeking their first certificate, 2 year or 4 year degree. Student must declare a STEM or Healthcare major (list is located at www.mus.edu/scholarships). Student must in enroll in and complete at least 15 credits each semester and must begin using the next chronological semester following graduation (excluding summer). Student must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
