Montana Tech professors and Department Heads Dan Trudnowski, Electrical Engineering, and Burt Todd, Petroleum Engineering, represented Montana Tech at the Asia-Montana Economic Summit (AMES) held at the University of Montana on April 29-30. The AMES Summit is one of the Annual Mansfield Conferences and is a meeting between decision makers from China, Korea, Japan and the state of Montana to discuss energy issues and strengthen relationships between the two regions. Trudnowski co-chaired a session entitled, “Smart Grid and the Future of Energy Distribution,” and Todd co-chaired a session titled, “Oil and Gas Advancements in an Uncertain World: Technology, Policy, and Economics.” The sessions were well-received and were followed by spirited discussion between the participants and audience.
