Sandy Stash has been named as the commencement speaker for Montana Tech’s 2015 ceremony. The university will graduate 539 students on May 16, 2015 at the Butte Civic Center. Stash’s speech is titled, What you have really learned at Montana Tech - and the amazing things your investment can bring to your life.
“Sandy was a very popular choice by our Associated Students of Montana Tech leadership, and I know everyone will enjoy her message,” noted Montana Tech Chancellor Don Blackketter. “Sandy will be passionate about life, working hard, and exploring all the opportunities the future holds for our students. She has a great story, including being one of the first women to work as a drilling and project engineer and drilling rig foreman for ARCO. Sandy is a wonderful worldwide advocate for Montana Tech. I encourage all to come hear her message.”
“I have a long-standing relationship with Montana Tech dating back to my time in Butte managing cleanup operations for the Atlantic Richfield Company,” explained Stash. “I am thrilled to speak to this year's graduating class and hope to provide a few 'nuggets' to our graduates based upon my experience.”
