Young Receives SME President's Citation Award
Courtney Young, Department Head and Lewis S. Prater Professor of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering at Montana Tech, received a President’s Citation Award from the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME). The President's Citation, established in 1978, recognizes a significant individual contribution culminating in the SME year of tenure of the selecting President. Courtney was recognized with Hugh Miller, Professor of Mining Engineering at Colorado School of Mines, at the SME Awards Banquet for their efforts at developing the Ph.D. Fellowship and Career Development Grant Programs.
