Dr. John Morrison, professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at Montana Tech, and David Rose, Montana Tech electrical engineering alumnus (BS ’09, MS ’11) were awarded a US patent (US 8762109 B2) entitled, “Crosstalk compensation in analysis of energy storage devices.” The technology is used to predict in near real-time the effective health of chemical energy-storage devices such as batteries, fuel cells, and ultracapacitors operating in-situ.
