Enrollment on the Montana Tech campus has increased as spring enrollment numbers were released today. Spring enrollment shows head count on campus increasing by two students with 2,703 total and full time equivalent (FTE) up 31 students at 2,338 from spring 2013.
On the north campus, petroleum engineering continues to be the largest discipline with 373 students followed by general engineering at 234, safety, health & industrial hygiene with 195 and nursing with 168. On the south campus, the largest disciplines are Associate of Science with 234 followed by metals fabrication with 52, accounting technology at 47, and radiologic technology at 42.
The numbers include an increase in graduate student admissions. Numbers in the graduate school have increased by 18 from the previous spring with a total of 181 graduate students.
“We are pleased to see our enrollment numbers for the spring stayed consistent with last spring and our graduate school numbers increase,” noted Montana Tech Chancellor Don Blackketter. “To award 158 degrees to 156 students in December and have our spring numbers remain steady is great to see. Our campus continues to make positive impacts each and every day. I thank all our faculty and staff for all they do to make Montana Tech a great place to receive a great education.”
