On Thursday, February 7, Lt. Governor John Walsh will visit the Montana Tech campus to speak about The Jobs Bill and specifically about the part of the bill that supports a Natural Resources Research Center on the Montana Tech campus. The proposed Center would provide laboratory space for natural resources and energy undergraduate and graduate education and research. As proposed, this building would add approximately 35,000 square feet of space to the Montana Tech campus. Total costs for this building would be $5 million in state funds and $5 million in matching private funds.
A press conference will be held in the Copper Lounge at 2:30 pm followed by a tour of current lab space and will end at the proposed space for the Center, which is off the west end of the ELC Building. All are invited to attend.
