Montana Technological University Graduate School: Micro-Credentials Dedicated Staff

Vice Chancellor of Research & Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Angela Lueking, oversees this program. In her role, Angela spear-heads new initiatives focused on materials and environmental remediation and invests in growth of convergent PhD programs at a primarily undergraduate institution. She oversees research awards, compliance, technology transfer, and graduate education. Angela rose through the academic ranks at Penn State University, with joint appointments in energy and chemical engineering, and served as Associate Dean for Research at Missouri University of Science & Technology. Angela holds degrees from the University of Nebraska (BS) and the University of Michigan (MS and PhD) in environmental engineering and chemical engineering.

The program has been developed in collaboration with the Center for Academic Innovation at Montana Tech, overseen by Director Kat McCormick. This collaboration has ensured the program meets national best practices for regular substantive interaction for on-line learning, as well as all necessary component for federal standards for accessibility and on-line programming. Kat specializes in quality online course design for excellence in teaching and learning. Her 20+ years of experience teaching English and Educational Technology in multiple modalities and the fact that she completed two advanced degrees online has given her a unique approach to online teaching and learning from the vantage point of designer, instructor, and learner. Kat received her BA and MA in Literature from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and her MS and Education Specialist in Education Technology from the University of Central Missouri.

Jesse Taylor has served within higher education admissions departments for almost 10 years at both public and private institutions. In his current role as Director of Graduate Enrollment he oversees all graduate level recruitment, admissions, and enrollment operations and policy, as well as the graduate student experience, engagement, and degree compliance.

Kyla Scheer is a dedicated graduate admissions evaluator that will support students in this program. She will assist students with the application process, enrollment, and progress towards the certificate.
