Family Weekend 2026

Join us for Montana Tech's 2026 Family Weekend: October 9-11. 

Make lasting memories during this three-day, fun-filled celebration in beautiful Butte, America. Explore our campus, connect with fellow Orediggers, and enjoy a weekend packed with events for the whole family.

A complete schedule will be posted as Family Weekend gets closer. All students will be emailed by campuslife@mtech.edu and encouraged to share information with their families once the schedule is finalized. For 2026, some events to look forward to include:

• Homecoming Bed Races - a must see campus tradition!
• Pumpkins and Cider
• Homecoming Tailgate/Reception with the Chancellor and Montana Tech Foundation
• Football Game vs. MSU Northern (#RollDiggs!)
• Trek to the M
• Underground Mine Tours
• Butte Trolley Tours

Be sure to check back as Family Weekend gets closer for a complete list of activities, along with registration information. The Underground Mine and Trolley Tours will have limited space, so once the schedule is live, be sure to sign up early. Parents / family members can email campuslife@mtech.edu with any questions. We're looking forward to having our Oredigger families on-campus in October!
