1981 – Ph.D.: Washington State University, Pullman, Washington (Engineering Science/Air Pollution).  Thesis title:  Photochemical modeling of Houston urban plume.

1971 – M.Sc., (Eng):  University of Madras, India (Public Health Engineering).  Thesis title:  Developing treatment for starch waste.

1969 – B.E (Civil): Government College of Technology, University of Madras, Coimbatore, India (Civil Engineering).  Major project:  Designing sewage treatment system for the City of Coimbatore.
