Biography
Samm is an Assistant Professor in the Business and Information Technology Department and teaches Business Law, Business Ethics and Natural Resource Land Management classes. Samm is a Butte native and has spent over 27 years practicing law in and for the community of Butte, Silver Bow. During his career he was responsible for criminal prosecution, litigation and local and state government legal issues. He became the Chief Deputy County Attorney in Butte Silver Bow in 2008 after serving as a Deputy County Attorney since 1995. He remains licensed to practice law before the courts of the State of Montana and the United States District Courts. Prior to law school, he attended and graduated Montana Tech in 1992 with a B.S. in Technology for Business Development.

Personal Interests
Samm has been an active volunteer in community events and especially in athletics for the past 25 years. He coaches youth baseball, football and was a cub scout den leader. He likes to spend time with his wife and his 3 boys and they love to explore various destinations and to enjoy the many outdoor activities of Montana including hunting and fishing.
