Bakersfield, California Chapter - Alumni Chapters
The Montana Tech Alumni Association - Bakersfield, California Chapter was established in 2015. Our purpose is to GROW the Montana Tech network by CONNECTING alumni in California while SUPPORTING local communities. This will allow us to create new and maintain existing, meaningful relationships. Together we will have a positive impact on people’s lives.
Our chapter has successfully raised more than $33,000 in donations for a Montana Tech scholarship endowment. With this endowment, Tech will be able to make an award annually in the hope of connecting local high school students to an opportunity to pursue higher education at Montana Tech. Our first scholarship recipient, Matthew Dal Bon completed his first year at Tech in 2021.
We continue to work on raising additional funds for the endowment to increase the size of the scholarship award or be in a position to make multiple awards per year. Some of the local fundraising events to look for are “Pint Night,” social/networking events, a golf tournament, and gun raffle.
As alumni of Montana Tech, we are grateful for the education we received, the relationships we formed, and opportunities our education has given us. It is now our turn to create opportunities for the next generation of students to attend Montana Tech. If you would like to help us continue to grow our endowed scholarship fund, you can donate using the form below and/or attending one of our fundraising events. Thank you for your support.
