  • Techxpo is scheduled for Thursday, April 15, 2021. Additional information on the time/duration of the event will be provided soon.

Judging

  • Projects will be divided into degree areas. Each degree area will be judged separately as will undergraduate and graduate‐level projects. For example, one first‐place undergraduate winner will be chosen from each degree area and one first‐place graduate winner will be chosen from the following four (4) groups.
    • PhD projects
    • Environmental Engineering, Ecological Restoration, Health CareInformatics, Industrial Hygiene, Project Engineering and Management
    • Mining Engineering & Geosciences (Engineering Geology, Geochemistry, Geological Engineering, Geology, Geophysical Engineering, Hydrogeological Engineering, Hydrogeology)
    • Electrical Engineering, General Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Welding), Metallurgical/Mineral Processing, Petroleum Engineering
  • When registering, students need to pay careful attention to which degree area they list for their project. Be specific! The degree area that is listed on the registration form is the area in which the project will be judged.
  • Judging will be conducted by industry professionals.

Prizes

  • Cash prizes will be given to the first‐place winner (undergrad and graduate) in each degree area. A Best‐in‐Show award will also be awarded a cash prize.
