Montana Tech's Sarah Raymond Honored as HR Leader

sarah-raymond-web.jpgSarah Raymond, Director of Career Services at Montana Technological University, has been named one of the Continental Divide Chapter 2020 HR Leader of the Year awardees and nominated for the Montana SHRM State Council 2020 Montana HR Leader of the Year.

Sarah has been in her role at Montana Tech since June 2006. At Montana Tech, she oversees the Career Services operations assisting students with career exploration, preparation, implementation, and management while assisting employers with connecting with students, alumni, faculty, and staff at Montana Tech.

"Over the past three years serving as the Continental Divide chapter president, I have gained a greater understanding of the complexity of the human resource needs across the state of Montana. Our mission has been to help elevate HR across southwest Montana, and it is an honor to represent Butte and our chapter members at the State Council and national level, too," explained Raymond.

Kathy Henningsen, the owner of Spherion, nominated Sarah. In her nomination letter, she acknowledged Sarah's responsibilities to lead Career Services and ongoing commitment to the community and Montana Tech. Additionally, all that she is involved in with her contributions to the Continental Divide chapter. As an organization representing over 285,000 human resource professionals worldwide, SHRM's success is driven by dedicated, devoted, passionate, and enthusiastic human resource professionals like Sarah. Every year an outstanding human resource professional in the state is recognized. Sarah will be recognized at the Montana State SHRM Conference in May 2021.
