Highlands College Health Programs prepare students to meet the highest standards necessary to succeed in the healthcare industry. We strive to assist students with educational preparation through the integration of technology, communications, problem-solving, and technical skills.
The Health Programs blend theory with practice to assure the opportunity for students to gain the skills and knowledge needed to work in specific healthcare jobs. Work-based learning opportunities through clinical experiences and practicum's are provided with each program.
Medical Assistants are trained in both front office administrative skills as well as and back office clinical skills to assist healthcare practitioners with administering to the needs of patients.
Radiologic Technologists are medical professionals who perform diagnostic imaging examinations and administer radiation therapy treatments using X-Ray equipment to produce images of the tissue, organs, bones and vessels of the body.
The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is offered by Highlands College Health Programs.
Highlands College is offering a CTS (Certificate of Technical Studies) of Behavioral Health Technician. This is a 15 credit certificate completed over one semester. Courses are online developed for distance delivery. One small aspect of the course requires onsite physical education relating to patient safety.
